The title, “Renewing Truth,” is a play on words.
On one hand, I am seeking to more fully know Jesus the Anointed One, who is the truth that renews us out of the corruption of sin and death. Jesus himself, as the living Son of God, is the renewing truth. As He said to his disciples, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6)
It also speaks to my desire to see a renewal of true apostolic and historical understanding of the truth as revealed in scripture. With this in mind, the blog is focused on biblical teaching, original languages, scripture’s historical context, early church teachings, and discernment of modern Christian teachers.
About the Blogger
I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband and a father. Having received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, I currently work within marketing for an industrial manufacturer. In my free time, I’ve devoted myself to a disciplined study of Koine Greek and Classical Hebrew, with the goal of reading scripture without the veil of translation. My evenings revolve around reading and studying the scriptures, church history, and biblical languages.

Thanks for your work. We have a men’s breakfast monthly and a video is presented. The last one was T. K. in The Prodigal God. I took notes and came to precisely the same conclusions as you. He ended with a sales pitch to buy his material. I find this new Gnosticism pandemic within Christian authors. Makes me wonder if the ancient gnostic writers were also enriched with secret writings and non-perspicacious missives. I teach an adult study. I hope I’m not the few who teach through a book of the Bible full well knowing it’s unpopularity.
You should be encouraged in your work. Your post on the Holy Spirit –upon or within was spot on and sadly you are correct about how it is taught from the pulpit. Thank you
